You can find us between Damazan and Agen in the beautiful valley of the river Garonne, on the border of the river Auvignon. Closeby the river Lot flows into the Garonne. From the highest point in Nicole you can see both rivers.

The varied landscape with its ancient villages, bastions and castles is very suitable for walking and cycling.

Wether you are a beginner or advanced, you can find trips alongside the wine fields, orchards, sunflower fields, rivers and the channel and through the forrests. The newest issue of the Randonnéés in this area can be obtained at Circuit de Randonnéés.

Two of the Grande Randonnées, GR 652 and 654, les sentiers de Saint-Jacques de Compastello, have a stop over in Port Ste. Marie.
There is a cycle track alongside the channel from Agen to Buzet sûr Baïse.
On the rivers Baïse, Lot and on the channel you can find several facilities for nautic sports.

The tour 'Circuit des Chapelles et Bastides en Pays de Serres' gives you a great view of the surroundings by car or motor cycle. Also from the Pays d´Albret, to which we belong.

Besides the weekly markets, like the well known markets in Ste Livrade sur Lot, Villeneuve, Nerac, there are also a lot of special markets between May and October, like the flower markets in May in Nerac, the evening markets in Marmande, Vianne and Prayssas, the Saturday market in Monflanquin, Agen and Tonneins. More than enough to choose from! Everyone who likes to visit brocantes can live it up in our region.

Do not forget to taste our great Buzet wines in the winery in Buzet sur Baïse. During July and August they have daily tours in the winery and in September the grape harvest with its celebrations. It is also possible to visit the different wine chateaux of course. If you like a nice aperitif don't forget to taste the Floc and as digestive the Armagnac more than equals a good cognac!

Gascony has a great kitchen. In the countryside people still make their own pâtés, Foi gras and Canard confit, not to forget the excellent Pruneaux D'Agen. In the beginning of September Agen, the town the prune was named after, has several harvest celebrations. The half dried prunes are delicacy and they are used in several dishes as well.

Agen (20 km) is a beautiful old town with several churches and museums and a cosy center for shopping and going out on the town. Don't forget to visit the old aqueduct. Just outside Agen is a Walibi for the children.

A little further away you find the larger towns Marmande, Duras and Villeneuve sur Lot (± 50 km), Toulouse and Bordeaux (± 110 km).

Nice day trips are possible to the Pyrenees, Lourdes and the Atlantic Ocean (125-150 km). During a day trip to the ocean you should certainly not forget to visit the highest dune of Europe, Dune du Pilat (105 m), and the oisterculture in the bay of Arcachon!
